Masidjid Al-Rabia

Fostering an Islam where no one is left behind

Masjid al- Rabia is a Muslim community center in Chicago, IL where everyone is welcome. Through education, advocacy, and outreach, Masjid al-Rabia empowers leadership from within the community and strive to foster in an Islam that leaves no one behind.

Some of the things Masjid al-Rabia provides :

  • Host jummah prayers every Friday

  • Have a library of Qur'ans and critical Islamic texts free for anyone to borrow

  • Host regular social events for Muslims and allies who want to get involved

Educate and advocate on behalf of women, queer & trans people, and other marginalized Muslims.

All Muslims deserve an environment in which we can practice our faith without fear of exclusion or violence. We don’t believe it is asking too much to be uncompromisingly ourselves - as women, as queer and trans people, as “marginalized Muslims” - and still have a faith community we can come home to.

Due to COVID-19 Masjid al- Rabia is offering digital programming, as well as Mutual Aid support fund
