Rush Memory Clinic

The Rush Memory Clinic provides expert consultations for patients with memory and thinking problems caused by common diseases of the brain. The Memory Clinic team includes neurologists, a neuropsychologist, a geriatric psychiatrist and other clinicians who are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, lewy Body dementia, vascular dementia, cognitive effects of stroke, mild cognitive impairment, and age-related memory loss.

Evaluations are typically two hours long and involve neuropsychological tests to assess memory, language and other thinking abilities. Referrals are needed from a provider involved in the care of the patient. The Rush Memory Clinic is in-network for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Medicare and Medicaid. Patients with other insurance coverage will need to use out-of-network benefits. Please check with your insurance provider to determine if prior approval is required, especially if you are enrolled in an health maintenance organization or Medicaid replacement plan.
